Skopje, 28 June 2025 (MIA) -- ZNAM Movement leader and Kumanovo Mayor Maksim Dimitrievski said Saturday he supported Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski's proposal to conduct an electronic census of the population in 2026.
PM Mickoski had said Thursday at a parliamentary Q & A session that the state could conduct an electronic census as early as next year if a single constituency electoral model were adopted "immediately."

"Macedonia needs to have a strategy for building a prosperous future," Dimitrievski said, adding that this strategy should be based on "real and accurate" statistics.
"We welcome the prime minister's idea and we look forward to this material to be given to us so we can give our opinion. It is always good to know what we have, who we have and what we have access to so we can create better state development plans," he said ahead of a panel discussion dedicated to transparency and accountability in government. mr/
