ZELS chair says schools are safe, reassures parents
- Schools are safe, the public and the parents should be calm. Although justified, there is no room for panic or fear. Children are in safe hands and we are the warrants for this, said Association of Local Self-Government Units (ZELS) chair and Kisela Voda Mayor Orce Georgievski on Thursday.

Skopje, 27 March 2025 (MIA) - Schools are safe, the public and the parents should be calm. Although justified, there is no room for panic or fear. Children are in safe hands and we are the warrants for this, said Association of Local Self-Government Units (ZELS) chair and Kisela Voda Mayor Orce Georgievski on Thursday.
Georgievski said regular inspections would be made mandatory by law once a year, not leaving this action to the goodwill of mayors or local services.
"As ZELS chair and mayor, let me communicate this to the citizens: their loved ones are attending safe schools and kindergartens. All identified shortcomings will be expediently eliminated by the local authorities, in cooperation with the school principals," Georgievski told reporters.
