Istanbul, 19 November 2025 (dpa/MIA) - Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is set to travel to Turkey on Wednesday for a working visit aimed at discussing ways to end the war in Ukraine and exploring opportunities for lasting peace, the Turkish presidential communications director said.

"We are preparing to reinvigorate negotiations, and we have developed solutions that we will propose to our partners," Zelensky wrote on the social media platform X.

"Doing everything possible to bring the end of the war closer is Ukraine's top priority," he added, without specifying whether this included direct talks with Russia.

Russia is not participating in the talks, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said in Moscow.

Over more than three and a half years of conflict, Turkey has repeatedly acted as a mediator between Moscow and Kiev or hosted talks aimed at resolving the war.
