Zaev: Let’s keep right course, integration inside and outside
Skopje, 28 October 2021 (MIA) – We are winners because we are moving forward in unity. We will win because we favor progress, democracy, freedom. European Karposh, European Skopje, European Macedonia will win, Prime Minister and SDSM leader Zoran Zaev told a rally in the Skopje municipality of Karposh on Thursday. “The people on the progressive side continue to fight for the future. We have received the message and we are learning form that message. We have shown this on many occasions by knowing how to revise a decision, take a step back, serve the people. That is why we announced the game change – digitization towards hearing people’s problems. We change and will change because we want to be even more successful and efficient, because we are here for the citizens,” said Zaev. He said people are faced with a simple choice, because everyone can make a parallel of developments over the past four years and the 11 years before that. “We want to move forward, we don’t want a regime, we want progress. Let’s unite because we need all of you to maintain this course. It is our duty to keep the course of Skopje, Karposh and the country in general, which is integration inside and outside. Let’s fight for the best,” noted Zaev. He urged Skopje mayor candidate Danela Arsovska, supported by the opposition VMRO-DPMNE, to withdraw from the race because she runs for the post while holding a Bulgarian citizenship at a time of an ongoing dispute with Sofia. “We push for a one society for all and have no prejudice over any ethnic community. We are the avant-garde of this society, but lying and manipulating is shameless. This is a humiliation for our people. We do not have a problem in saying that you have a passport, an ID, a citizenship of another country, but we have a problem of lying and manipulating your people,” said Zaev. He also urged people to vote for the Karposh mayor candidate Dushko Veskovski and for a second term of incumbent Skopje Mayor Petre Shilegov. “This is an excellent choice worth fighting for and we have all the arguments in the world for this. Let’s go out in masses on Sunday and support our candidates,” underlined Zaev.
