Youth and Sports Agency takes over organization of Ohrid Swimming Marathon with gov’t support
Skopje, 18 August 2022 (MIA) - This year marks the 60th anniversary of the Ohrid Swimming Marathon. As a tradition, which puts Ohrid and the country at the center of the global sports map, the Agency for Youth and Sports, together with the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia and all competent institutions, will not allow this established, renowned and widely acclaimed swimming marathon to be canceled, and will take over the organization to hold the marathon, the Youth and Sports Agency said Thursday.
The Agency adds that all registered participants will be enabled to participate, and the marathon will continue to be an attraction, both for sports enthusiasts and for the citizens of Ohrid, as well as all tourists who travel to Ohrid just to watch this great sporting event.
Director of the Youth and Sports Agency, Naumche Mojsovski, will give more details on the event of the Ohrid Swimming Marathon at a press conference on Friday morning.
