Athens, 19 May 2025 (MIA) - Handball club Alkaloid beat AEK Athens 25:29 in the away leg of the final in the EHF European Cup on Sunday.
The return leg will be played next Sunday in Skopje, with Alkaloid vying for its first European trophy.
Both teams changed in the lead in the first half, with the Alkaloid players holding their nerve in front of a 8,000-strong crowd and had a two-goal lead at the break (14-16).
In the second half, Alkaloid held the lead and eventually took a four-goal advantage for the second leg in Skopje.
Serafimov was Alkaloid's best player with six goals, while goalkeeper Kizikj had ten saves.
