Xhaferi - Woo-taik: Need for opening of resident diplomatic offices in Skopje and Seoul

Skopje, 3 November 2023 (MIA) - Parliament Speaker Talat Xhaferi met Friday with Republic of Korea's National Assembly Deputy Speaker Chung Woo-taik, expressing assurance that such encounters represent an excellent foundation for further intensification and enhancement of bilateral cooperation at all levels.
Speaker Xhaferi highlighted the need for opening of resident diplomatic offices in Skopje and Seoul, thus strengthening the possibilities for close and direct communication, primarily in the fields of economy and trade, the Parliament said in a press release.
Xhaferi referred to the excellent multilateral cooperation within the United Nations and noted North Macedonia's commitment, as NATO member, to cooperate with the Republic of Korea, as active partner of the Alliance. In this regard, he expressed hope that conflicts in Ukraine and the Middle East would end and dialogue would be restored.
Deputy Speaker Woo-taik expressed Korea's support to North Macedonia's Euro-integration and the accession negotiations. He also voiced the country's readiness to put emphasis on economic cooperation and direct investments, specifically in the automotive industry.
