Xhaferi: We need to be with citizens, not behind closed office doors

Skopje, 21 February 2024 (MIA) — Caretaker Prime Minister Talat Xhaferi visited Wednesday Arachinovo's newly built child care center, the first-ever in the municipality.

The project cost more than Mden 45 million and the center can provide day care to 115 children.

His visit to the child care center, Xhaferi said, was one of his duties as a government official.

"It is our duty to be with citizens, and not behind closed office doors," the caretaker prime minister said. "It is our main job to be in direct communication with citizens and see their needs up close."

"It is delightful to see these conditions here, intended for our dearest, our youngest, who will have the opportunity to see what is beautiful, what is good, from the earliest age," Xhaferi said.

"This will certainly influence their integrity and build their personality," he said, adding that parents would be more at peace knowing their children would be well cared for.

He also said the caregivers deserved special respect for the work they were doing.
