Workers are the backbone of our society, Gashi says in May Day greeting
Skopje, 1 May 2025 (MIA) – May Day, as a symbol of the fight for workers’ rights, social justice and dignified living standards, is the day when we acknowledge all those earning for a living contributing to a better future for themselves, their families and the whole society, Parliament Speaker Afrim Gashi said in a May Day greeting.
He said he congratulates all workers in the country on International Workers’ Day calling them “the backbone of our society and economy.”
“It is our duty as state institutions to create conditions for a safe, just and dignified work for all. Your hard work deserves to be valued with respect and support,” Gashi wrote.
