  • Winter in North Macedonia and the Northern Hemisphere began on Saturday at 10:21 a.m., the day also marks the beginning of summer in the Southern Hemisphere.

Skopje, 21 December 2024 (MIA) - Winter in North Macedonia and the Northern Hemisphere began on Saturday at 10:21 a.m., the day also marks the beginning of summer in the Southern Hemisphere.

Today is winter solstice, the day with the shortest period of daylight and longest night of the year, and when the Sun is at its lowest daily maximum elevation in the sky.

Winter will last until 20 March 2025.
