Wine Vision by Open Balkan at world's largest wine fair in Verona

Belgrade, 1 April 2023 (MIA) - The wine fair "Wine vision by Open Balkan" will be presented at the world's largest wine fair Vinitaly in Verona from April 2-5, with PM Dimitar Kovachevski, Albanian PM Edi Rama and Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić in attendance, president of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia (CCIS) Marko Čadež said.

He said that Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia will organize an Open Balkan stand at the fair in Verona, where more than 200 best wine labels from Serbia, North Macedonia and Albania will be presented, MIA’s Belgrade correspondent reported.

“On Sunday, President Vučić and Prime Minister Edi Rama will be present together in Italy at the world's largest wine fair Vinitaly at the Wine Vision by Open Balkan stand, where the best wineries from our three countries will be presented and which will mean an increase in production and the export of this important product for both North Macedonia and Serbia,” Kovachevski said, adding that that at the end of the third quarter and the beginning of the fourth quarter, the great Wine Fair will be held again in Belgrade, which will be attended by Macedonian wineries.

Čadež thanked the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, and the Prime Ministers of North Macedonia and Albania, who launched the initiative last year to organize the first wine fair “Wine vision by Open Balkan.”

He voiced hopes that buyers from the fair in Verona will also visit Belgrade, which will host the regional wine fair from November 16 to 19, where they will be able to taste the best wines from Serbia, North Macedonia and Albania.

A record number of participants are expected to participate this year at Vinitaly, among which visitors, exhibitors, and buyers - importers, distributors, and their associations coming from Europe, but also from all over the world - from the USA, Central and South America, Africa, and Asia.

“It is up to us to promote this fair in the world and to make as many deals as possible. We will talk to the world’s largest buyers so that they come to Belgrade and make it a place where good deals are made for winemakers,” Čadež said.
