Ohrid, 18 March 2023 (MIA) — The latest round of EU-facilitated talks between Serbia’s President Aleksandar Vucic and Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti to normalize bilateral relations began in Ohrid on Saturday afternoon.

The meeting is mediated by EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice President of the European Commission Josep Borrell and EU Special Representative for the Belgrade–Prishtina Dialogue Miroslav Lajcak.

The EU envoys also held separate meetings with the leaders of Serbia and of Kosovo earlier on Saturday.

EU’s foreign policy chief Borrell is set to address the media after the talks to announce the outcome of the negotiations.

According to EU spokesperson Peter Stano, Borrell will not take any questions at the press conference, following a “common practice” after each meeting held as part of the Belgrade–Prishtina Dialogue.

Stano also said he did not know when today's talks would end. mr/
