Skopje, 7 July 2025 (MIA) - VMRO-DPMNE's candidate for Skopje mayor, Orce Gjorgjievski, said he has begun field visits on Monday to prepare his program for the local elections together with the citizens. 

In an interview with Sitel TV on Monday, Gjorgjievski said he believes the people of Skopje will give him a chance to lead the city. The main problems he will be solving are related to communal hygiene, public transport and the traffic chaos, stray dogs, cleaner air, on which he pledged not to tolerate the operation of a single polluter. He also promised a general urban plan for Skopje, noting that an alternative to the expansion of the city will be offered.

"In the campaign, I will not be reiterating the problems we have been living with for the past four years, but I will offer solutions that will offer a dignified life in a short time. Skopje is currently a completely devastated city. I am here to offer solutions, I will create them together with the citizens. I have a complete concept for the city, but it is best to do it together with the citizens," said Gjorgjievski.

He said he expects support from coalition partners ZNAM and Vlen, but also from other political parties. 

The city will develop evenly, we are aware that citizens demand urgent change, Gjorgjievski pointed out.
