Skopje, 29 August 2021 (MIA) – VMRO-DPMNE’s executive and central committees have decided to support Danela Arsovska’s run for mayor of Skopje, party leader Hristijan Mickoski said during a press briefing on Sunday. “I’m convinced that we have the next mayor of Skopje. Let’s stand united around the woman who will be responsible for Skopje’s future development,” Mickoski noted, stressing conviction that Arsovska will win upcoming local elections. He told reporters that the candidate delivered a program, vision and strategy to VMRO-DPMNE. They also discussed Skopje’s future in the next four years. The party, Mickoski told reporters, unanimously decided to support Arsovska, who is running as an independent candidate. VMRO-DPMNE’s leader also said that the party has selected 10 other candidates running for mayors and will reveal their names at a news conference on Monday. “VMRO-DPMNE expects the Alliance for Albanians and Alternativa to support its candidates for mayors of Butel, Gazi Baba and several other municipalities across the country,” Mickoski said, adding that VMRO-DPMNE will support AA/A’s candidates for mayors of Chair, Tetovo, Gostivar, Struga and Debar.
