VMRO-DPMNE signs charter with election coalition partners
- VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski after signing the Charter said that the “Your Macedonia” coalition while fulfilling the program for the coming presidential and parliamentary elections is fully committed to the principles of responsibility and transparency of their political actions.
Skopje, 29 March 2024 (MIA) – VMRO-DPMNE with 24 political subjects and organizations signed Friday a charter for establishing a strategic coalition and the principles of the future activities of the coalition, called “Your Macedonia”.
VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski after signing the Charter said that the “Your Macedonia” coalition while fulfilling the program for the coming presidential and parliamentary elections is fully committed to the principles of responsibility and transparency of their political actions.
“This is the final pre-election coalition, which will run in the coming elections,” Mickoski said answering a journalist question.
The top priorities of the parties that have joined the “Your Macedonia” coalition, he said, include economy development, economic growth, domestic and foreign investments as a condition for job creation and for improving the lives of the citizens.
“Unwavering and strong fight against corruption and reducing red tape is our main challenge because we firmly believe that a just society is the key precondition for overall development of the homeland. Thus, the “Your Macedonia” coalition is pledging fiercely in a principled manner that we will initiate and support actions for establishing a legal state, designed to restore the crumbling trust of the institutions of the state. The main concept for development of the private initiative is respecting of the economic freedom and development of an individual’s creativity. We’re pledging we will generate new policies to finance the construction of international and local roads, rail corridors, power stations, gas pipelines, overhead power lines, schools, hospitals and many other infrastructural projects,” said Mickoski.
According to the opposition leader, the coalition is demonstrating a clear, unwavering and strong determination for reforms, “aimed at providing long-term economic growth and progress of Macedonia.”
Calling for mass voters’ turnout in the coming elections, Mickoski said that abstaining from voting in the elections will be considered show of support of the “irresponsible and criminal government.”
On Saturday, VMRO-DPMNE and the coalition will hold a convention to present the candidates for MPs after being confirmed at sessions of the party’s executive and central committee.
