VMRO-DPMNE parliamentary group holds coordination meeting with Mickoski

Skopje, 13 February 2023 (MIA) - VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski held a coordination meeting with the parliamentary group of the party and the coalition in the Parliament on Monday, discussing the proposed government reshuffle.

Participants in the meeting concluded that the proposed cabinet posts are a result of a coalition where primary interest is not the country's progress, but business interests and personal ambitions, VMRO-DPMNE said in a press release.

"The cabinet post proposals themselves indicate that the government is managed by DUI and Ahmeti, and Kovachevski serves his interests," reads the press release.

According to VMRO-DPMNE, such government composition will neither bring reforms nor progress, but crime, shady tenders and deepening of the crisis.

"SDS and Kovachevski are becoming a minority partner in their government, and just so they could continue their crime they vote for whatever Ahmeti suggests. If this government reshuffle comes through, the Alliance will very soon end up likeAlternativa," the press release adds.

The government reshuffle proposal is on the agenda of the Parliament's 104th session on Monday. The session scheduled for 3 pm will debate on the election of four new ministers and five deputy ministers after the Alliance for Albanians (AA) decided to join the government majority.

Ahead of today's session, Alternativa's top body decided Sunday its MPs will go into opposition.
