VMRO-DPMNE files motion for gov’t no-confidence vote
Skopje, 8 November 2021 (MIA) – VMRO-DPMNE MP Aleksandar Nikolovski said Monday his party has filed a motion for no-confidence vote against the government together with lawmakers from Alliance for Albanians, Alternativa, Besa and Levica. The initiative has been signed by 61 MPs, he said adding it is expected the Parliament Speaker to schedule a session within the established deadline, i.e. by Thursday at the latest. Citing parts of the initiative, Nikolovski said he expected 61 MPs, or more, to pass the no-confidence motion against the government in addition to AA MP Skender Rexhepi’s position. Nikolovski, who is the vice president of VMRO-DPMNE, said negotiations are under way with several other lawmakers to join the newly-formed majority. “We waited for eight days after PM Zoran Zaev had announced he would resign,” he stated.
