Verbal incident at Macedonian club opening in Blagoevgrad
Blagoevgrad, 30 October 2022 (MIA) – VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski and a person carrying a loudspeaker echoing patriotic songs were involved in a verbal incident in the Bulgarian city of Blagoevgrad on Sunday.
The incident happened after the opening of the Macedonian culture club “Nikola Vapcarov”, when hosts and guests headed for the grave of the father of revolutionary Goce Delchev.
Calling Mickoski a traitor, the person asked him to speak in Bulgarian, which was followed by chants “Macedonia, Macedonia” by the crowd.
The club opening is taking place amid tight security and large media interest.
