Belgrade, 27 July 2021 (MIA) – Macedonian nationals continue to get vaccinated in Serbia, at the vaccination sites in Bujanovac, Vranje, Niš, as well as at the Belgrade Fair, MIA reports from Belgrade. “300-500 people get vaccinated at the Belgrade Fair daily during the week and 600-800 citizens on weekends. Half of these are nationals from North Macedonia and Bosnia and Herzegovina,” vaccination point coordinator Svetlana Mićić told Beta News Agency. Aside from those getting the second vaccine dose, Macedonian nationals travelling abroad are also getting vaccinated at the Belgrade Fair. “We continue to vaccinate citizens from Bosnia and Herzegovina and North Macedonia, but demand has been decreasing. Most of the people coming in for vaccination are those who are planning to travel abroad. A lot of countries are proposing that vaccination should be mandatory, not optional,” Snežana Kalabić, MD, told Serbian newspaper Kurir. The Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Sinopharm and Sputnik V jabs are available at the Belgrade Fair vaccination point, where people can get vaccinated every day between 8:30 am and 3:30 pm. According to Vranje Health Center data, a total of 12,006 Macedonian nationals were administered the first dose of the vaccine against COVID-19 in Vranje by July 23, while 9,392 citizens have received both doses.
