Skopje, 20 May 2024 (MIA) - Starting today until May 23, the Ss. Cyril and Methodius University (UKIM) is hosting events to mark its 75th anniversary.

The Rectorate will host an event at 11 am, where awards will be bestowed to outstanding graduates of the 2022/2023 academic year, as well as the '26 July' prize supported by the Frank Manning Foundation for the academic year 2022/2023.

Tuesday evening, a formal academy is scheduled to take place at the Macedonian Philharmonic Hall, featuring addresses by the University's Rector, Biljana Angelova, and the President of the University Student Assembly, Aleksandar Nikolovski. The film 'UKIM - 75 Years of Academic Excellence' will also be screened, followed by the artistic performances.

Roundtable discussions are scheduled at the Rectorate on May 22 and 23. Additionally, on May 23, flowers will be laid at the monument of Cyril and Methodius to commemorate the Day of Saints Cyril and Methodius - the University's patron saints' day, observed on May 24.
