UK Special Envoy to Western Balkans visits North Macedonia

Skopje, 6 March 2023 (MIA) - The UK Special Envoy to the Western Balkans, Lord Stuart Peach, is paying a visit to North Macedonia from Monday 6 to Wednesday 8 March, the British Embassy in Skopje said in a press release.
While in Skopje, Peach will meet with President Stevo Pendarovski, Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski, Deputy Prime Minister for EU Affairs Bojan Marichikj, and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bujar Osmani.
During his visit he will also meet key dignitaries, civil society organisations and will visit local cultural landmarks, reads the press release.
The aim of the visit is to reaffirm UK’s strong commitment to Euro-Atlantic integration of North Macedonia, support reforms, and strengthen stability and security in the Western Balkans region, the British Embassy adds.
"This year the UK and North Macedonia celebrate 30 years of bilateral relations. The UK remains a close partner to North Macedonia and strong ally in NATO," the press release reads.
