Skopje, 27 March 2023 (MIA) - Defense Minister Slavjanka Petrovska had Monday a video-call with British Secretary of State for Defense Ben Wallace, who extended congratulations over North Macedonia's third anniversary as NATO member.

Petrovska and Wallace discussed the strong allied ties and future activities for ehnancement of the intensive bilateral cooperation, while also referring to the current situation in Ukraine, the Ministry of Defense said in a press release.

Petrovska expressed gratitude for UK's support in the process of military integration in NATO, development of the Army's defense capabilities, as well as the continued support in modernization of the Krivolak army field.

Wallace saluted North Macedonia's role in regional security and stability.

The United Kingdom and North Macedonia enjoy comprehensive cooperation in the defense field, including in defense policy, military training and education at the most prestigious schools in the UK, reads the press release.
