UK donation for Army handed over at Krivolak
Krivolak, 26 October 2022 (MIA) – Defense Minister Slavjanka Petrovska, UK Special Envoy for the Western Balkans, Sir Stuart Peach, and British Ambassador Matthew Lawson attended Wednesday the handover of a British donation of 14 mobile units for training of Army members in an urban environment. “This British donation of 14 urban training buildings will not only serve the Macedonian Army but also the armed forces of all NATO allies. The donation is worth GBP 400,000, significantly contributing to the further equipping and development of Krivolak army field,” said Minister Petrovska. She added that the UK remains North Macedonia’s significant partner and key ally, and the Army can always country on their support, both through donations but also capacity strengthening and human resource development. “We are stronger together – these are not just words, this is another proof that the NATO benefits for North Macedonia are more than visible,” noted Petrovska. Sir Stuart Peach said the donation is another proof of the bilateral cooperation and bilateral partnership. “Especially amid this period of having a war on the continent, we are here together for the purpose of defense and deterrence from the Russian aggression. NATO is a defense alliance of 30 sovereign countries and this is our task,” noted Peach.
