U.S. Armed Forces hold military drills at Krivolak
Skopje, 22 August 2022 (MIA) – Members of the U.S. Armed Forces taking part in the KFOR mission in Kosovo are holding military drills at the Krivolak army field with two UH-60 Black Hawk aircrafts. The drills began on August 20 and will last through August 26.
“This type of drills at Krivolak, by members of the U.S. Armed Forces within KFOR, which happened in the past as well, reaffirm and promote the capabilities of Krivolak to enable the armed forces of foreign countries to hold military exercises,” said the General Staff of the Army in a press release.
The press release adds that the Krivolak army field has fulfilled all the requirements for this type of activities in the past, and this, said the General Staff, was confirmed by the fact that the largest aircraft military exercise “Swift Response 22” took place at the training center.
“The Army of North Macedonia, in addition to enabling uninterrupted use of the drill grounds and shooting ranges at Krivolak, during the activities also provided the necessary military and police escort in the transportation of the members of the U.S. Armed Forces, and if necessary, it will provide appropriate medical and logistical support,” said the General Staff.
The General Staff added that the drills are taking place in accordance with the decision from the 68th Government session, which approved the entry and stay of foreign armed forces at the territory of North Macedonia for the purpose of participating in close air support training with U.S. Armed Forces aircraft at the Krivolak army field. ad/nn/
