Skopje, 10 July 2025 (MIA) - Police have detained two people who were caught starting a fire.

"On 10.07.2025 at 3:30 pm, while patrolling the road between Kadino and Miladinovci, police officers from the Intervention Police Unit of the Skopje police noticed black smoke and found two people who had lit cables near dry grass and waste (illegal landfill)," the Ministry of Interior said in a press release. 

Following a quick response, adds the press release, the fire was prevented from spreading and extinguished.

The two people have been detained at the Gazi Baba Police Station and a public prosecutor will be notified to file appropriate charges.
