Skopje, 6 March 2026 (MIA) - In the fourth quarter of 2025, the buyout and sales of agricultural products amounted to around Mden 12.5 billion, which is 15 percent higher compared to 2024. A similar positive trend was observed in the other quarters as well, which means the quantity of domestic production is on the rise, Minister of Agriculture, Forestry, and Water Economy Cvetan Tripunovski said at a panel discussion titled “Economic Growth – Economic Security for Citizens” held in the Government on Friday.

Tripunovski said the year was successful despite unfavorable climate conditions.

“If we analyze the entire year as a whole, not only in terms of buyouts and sales, but also in the export of agricultural products, we recorded growth of about 5.5 percent compared to 2024. This is a clear indicator that agricultural production is moving in a positive direction and that we are increasing food production,” the Minister said.

According to Minister Tripunovski, these figures are due to the Government’s policies, the creation of intervention measures, stabilization of the sector, as well as the payment of outstanding obligations.
