Transport minister presents infrastructure plans to French ambassador

Skopje, 12 June 2025 (MIA) — Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport Aleksandar Nikoloski and his deputy Kaltrina Zekolli Shaqiri met Thursday with French Ambassador Christophe Le Rigoleur and presented the government's proposals for infrastructure projects of regional importance, according to an official press release.
Meeting participants confirmed the good bilateral relations and exchanged opinions on the latest political and economic developments in the country and the region, the release said.
The transport minister highlighted the Macedonian-French friendship and ways to boost bilateral ties through economic cooperation and support for local infrastructure projects, especially those that can accelerate regional economic development.
"The meeting also discussed the country's reforms, EU integration and membership. Macedonia is focused on the integration process, Deputy PM Nikoloski stressed, and the government's policies are aimed at reforming the country and fighting against corruption," the release said.
Le Rigoleur and Nikoloski agreed to intensify mutual cooperation, according to the Ministry of Transport release. mr/
