Train drivers end boycott, passenger trains to resume service

Skopje, 11 April 2023 (MIA) – The train drivers’ boycott ended on Tuesday afternoon after their demands were met – the second part of their February wages and March travel expenses have been paid.
The President of the Union of Train Drivers of Macedonia and representative of the mechanical and executive staff, Toni Dimovski, told MIA that their demands have been met and freight and passenger traffic will be normalized.
The Union held a meeting Monday with the management of the company and were told their wages would be paid Tuesday.
The Macedonian Railways Transport mechanical and support staff’s boycott lasted 12 days.
