Traffic bans for trucks as crews clear slushy snow from roads nationwide
- As Makedonijapat road crews clear snow from highways, traffic ban for trucks are in place on several routes nationwide: Resen–Bitola through the Gjavato mountain pass; Tetovo–Popova Shapka; Delchevo–Delchevo border crossing–Bulgaria; Gostivar–Mavrovo–Debar, Gostivar–Strazha–Kichevo as well as at the Preseka mountain pass and Pletvar.

Skopje, 12 January 2025 (MIA) — As Makedonijapat road crews clear snow from highways, traffic ban for trucks are in place on several routes nationwide: Resen–Bitola through the Gjavato mountain pass; Tetovo–Popova Shapka; Delchevo–Delchevo border crossing–Bulgaria; Gostivar–Mavrovo–Debar, Gostivar–Strazha–Kichevo as well as at the Preseka mountain pass and Pletvar.
Slushy snow roads are reported nationwide amid winter conditions with moderate traffic outside urban areas.
No border delays are reported. As of Nov. 15, 2024, winter equipment in vehicles is mandatory until Mar. 15, 2025.
Landslides are possible along the routes of Katlanovo – Veles, Mavrovo – Debar – Struga, Vinica – Berovo and Kochani – Delchevo.
Motorists are advised to drive carefully, adjust their speed to weather conditions and follow traffic rules, signs and signals.
