Trade margin restrictions of basic food products extended by June 30

Skopje, 25 April 2023 (MIA) - The Government decided Tuesday to extend the timeframe of the trade margin restrictions of basic food products up to 30 June 2023.
As per the decision, the highest trade margin for white bread, white sugar and sunflower oil is set at five percent in retail and wholesale.
The highest trade margin for wheat flour, pasta, Macedonian white rice, milk, eggs, cheese, sour milk, sour cream and yogurt is set at 10 percent in retail and wholesale.
Considering that the decision limits the rise of prices, whereas market prices are yet to stabilize, these trade margins are to be applied over the next two months, the Ministry of Economy said in a press release.
It also recalls on the Government's decision to cap the prices of bread, milk, cheese, sour milk, sour cream, yogurt, pasta, eggs and rice.
