Skopje, 8 October 2025 (MIA) - Security is the foundation upon which economic development, institutional trust, and the citizens’ living standard are being built. The Interior Ministry is fully focused on the processes of digitization, modernization, and transparency, with the aim of establishing a security environment that responds to the needs of the 21st century, said Interior Minister Panche Toshkovski at the opening of the 10th Adria Security Summit held in Skopje.
Toshkovski stressed the summit is the most significant regional platform that brings together everyone committed to the establishment of more secure and more resilient communities, representatives of the institutions, experts, companies, innovators, and professionals in the area of security and technology.
“We are living at a time when security is not solely measured by physical protection, but also the ability to respond to new forms of risk – from cyberattacks and digital threats, to critical infrastructure, urban safety, and data management,” the Minister stressed.
That is why, according to Toshkovski, events like the Adria Security Summit are important.
“They create a bridge between the public and private sector, between state institutions and industry, and allow us to build a more efficient and modern security system through the exchange of knowledge and experiences,” Minister Toshkovski said.
The Interior Minister also welcomed the Adria Smart City, held in parallel with the summit, describing it “as an excellent example of how security and technology intertwine in the creation of more efficient, sustainable, and safe urban communities”.
“I am convinced that the Adria Security Summit 2025 will be a place where new collaborations are born, best practices are shared, and the directions of future regional security policy are defined,” Minister Toshkovski stressed.
