Skopje, 1 January 2025 (MIA) - Minister of Interior Panche Toshkovski said Wednesday that New Year's Eve was generally calm, with 29 crimes taking place across the country and 33 people detained.

"There were 29 crimes and 33 people have been detained, 14 of whom related to drug trafficking. There were 28 traffic accidents but luckily without any casualties. Therefore, New Year's Eve was calm and let me thank all police officers who were up to their tasks over the course of the evening," said Minister Toshkovski.
