Skopje, 5 January 2022 (MIA) – A record level of exported goods, valued at EUR 3 billion, at the technological and industrial development zones (TIRZ) has been recorded for the first time, TIRZ head Jovan Despotovski has said. “It is an increase by 15% compared to 2020 and 6.5% increase compared to 2019, which back then saw a record-level rise in exports. It shows that the economy in the zones and also in the country is on the right track,” Despotovski said, adding he expected the trend of growth to continue. By applying a new concept and a smart approach for a year, he added, we’ve managed to stimulate continuous growth of the companies active in the zones and concrete results. According to Despotovski, it also secures a stable number of jobs and continuous rise in salaries. “We proved we know how to use the potential of foreign investors,” the TIRZ head stated. TIRZ recorded a historic high level of exported goods in 2019 – EUR 2.796 billion.
