Sveti Nikole, 29 July 2024 (MIA) - Three villages have been affected by wildfires in Sveti Nikole, while a fire has burnt down one fourth of all houses in the village of Nemanjici, the Mayor of Sveti Nikole Dejan Mladev said Monday. 
 
Firefighters from Sveti Nikole, volunteers, local population, as well as firefighters from Shtip, Negotino, Kavadarci and Veles are currently engaged in the efforts to extinguish the blaze in Sveti Nikole.

Army members have also been deployed, and a helicopter is extinguishing the houses burning in the village of Nemanjici.

Mayor Vladev said the village of Malino has also been affected, with several houses engulfed. 

The head of the Crisis Management Center (CMC), Stojanche Angelov, said 12 villages in Sveti Nikole, Kumanovo, Probishtip and Shtip were affected by wildfires on Monday afternoon.
