Skopje, 25 March 2023 (MIA) - The Theater for Children and Youth is celebrating on Saturday its 33rd anniversary. It is the only national theater specialized in programs for children and youth.

The Theater was established on February 2, 1990, by a decision of the Government, and it gave its first performance for the audience on this day in 1990.

"Our story began 33 years ago, and today there is neither a parent nor a child who doesn't want to see it or hear it. More than three decades ago, a group of theater lovers and professionals laid foundations that are a part of the childhood and growing up of every child... We have grown, and our theater still has 112 seats and not enough tickets as much as there's desire to see our shows...," the Theater for Children and Youth said on its anniversary. 

On its 33rd anniversary on Saturday, the Theater will be showing Hans Christian Andersen's "Thumbelina" directed by Davor Dragojevikj, starting at 7 pm.
