Skopje, 19 July 2024 (MIA) - All airport systems are functional and there haven’t been any cancelled flights so far, TAV Macedonia, the operator of the two Macedonian airports said on Friday amid a global IT outage.
TAV Macedonia said none of their systems have experienced any disruptions or technical issues.
“It is a fact that certain airlines are facing difficulties with their systems, however we have taken measures to ensure uninterrupted operations at the airports,” TAV said in the press release.
TAV Macedonia urged all passengers to check and confirm information on their flight with the airline or travel agency through which they reserved their tickets.
“All airport sectors are in a state of readiness due to the global IT outage and all necessary measures are being taken to serve our passengers in the best possible way,” TAV Macedonia added.
Due to the global IT outage which occurred on Friday, airports on at least four continents, health systems, banks, telecommunications, media and other companies, institutions and organizations have been experiencing technical difficulties.
