Skopje, 21 August 2024 (MIA) — Minister of Health Arben Taravari and representatives of the Positive Drug List Committee will hold a news conference to present the placing of new prescription medications onto the national Positive List of Prescribed Drugs, according to an official press release.

"This is a huge step forward, nine new drugs, given that over the past 15 years only one drug was added. So I guarantee there will be new drugs. We will soon sit down with committee members to consider the possibilities and current needs," Minister Taravari told the press on Tuesday.

Asked about cancer patients' disappointment over their medications not being included and demands that their prescription drugs make the list next time, the health minister said the Positive Drug List would be revised again in six months. mr/
