“Substrates” exhibition kicks off in Paris affirming Open Balkan's cultural program

Skopje, 13 July 2023 (MIA) - North Macedonia's Minister of Culture Bisera Kostadinovska-Stojchevska, who is visiting Paris alongside Albanian and Serbian counterparts, Elva Margariti and Maja Gojković, will address the opening of the "Substrates" exhibition at 6:30 pm on Thursday, taking place at Serbia's Cultural Centre in Paris, the Ministry of Culture said in a press release.
The exhibition is held under the auspices of the Ministries of Culture of North Macedonia, Serbia and Albania, in cooperation with the Embassies of the three countries, as part of the cultural program of the Open Balkan initiative.
Artists Kristina Pulejkova (North Macedonia), Nina Zeljković (Serbia), and Driant Zeneli (Albania) will showcase their new projects at the exhibition.
"The exhibition is curated by Claudia Paetzold, founder of the "Curating Evolution" portal for raising awareness for the transformation of natural and cultural heritage. Focusing on contemporary art, Paetzold highlights the fundamental connections between the three countries within the Open Balkan," reads the press release.
The implementation of the cultural program of the Open Balkan, the Ministry points out, allows the Balkan countries, to present Balkan culture in a contemporary concept thorough their artistic scene, and at the same time, promote specific cultural and artistic features of the Balkans through intercultural dialogue and an interdisciplinary approach.
The "Substrates" exhibition will be open to the public through August 12, 2023. ssh/nn/
