Strumica and Petrich host conference for Macedonian-Bulgarian regional cooperation
Sofia, 1 November 2022 (MIA) - Experts, scholars, artists, diplomats, businesspeople, consultants, civil society representatives and journalists from North Macedonia and Bulgaria are attending a two-day conference, held in Strumica, North Macedonia, and the Bulgarian town of Petrich and organized by the Czech embassies in Skopje and Sofia.
Participants in the conference, initiated by the Czech EU presidency, discuss ways for establishing business connection of the regions of Strumica and Petrich, MIA's Sofia correspondent reports.
The prospect of opening so called business incubators was presented at the event as a way to help companies in the two regions open and expand their business operations.
The participants also discussed projects for youth in the regions of Strumica, North Macedonia, Petrich, Bulgaria, and Serres, Greece.
The event also focused on discussions on how to solve issues from the past burdening the Macedonian-Bulgarian relations and sharing of experiences of the Czech Republic in settling issues from the past with Slovakia as part of the Visegrad Group.
