Storm causes severe flooding in Delchevo and surrounding areas
Delchevo, 8 June 2023 (MIA) – Hailstorm hit Thursday afternoon Delchevo causing flooding of over 60 houses, Crisis Management Centre (CMC) said.
“Local teams of Delchevo fire brigade and Bregalnica public utility enterprise are on the ground to help in pumping water out of the flooded houses and premises, CMC said in a press release.
According to CMC, large part of the city is without electricity supply.
As MIA reported earlier, this afternoon a storm with torrential rain, hail and thunder hit Delchevo and the surrounding areas, causing flooding in several basements and traffic disruptions.
Moreover, hazelnut-sized hailstone damaged the crops, and fruit plantations.
