Washington, 24 June 2022 (MIA) – The United States government has communicated its position regarding the uncertainty over the start of the EU accession negotiations with North Macedonia following the failed EU-Western Balkans summit in Brussels. “We view the credibility of the EU enlargement perspective as vitally important to the stability and prosperity of the Western Balkans,” a State Department spokesperson told MIA. He adds that the U.S.  continues to support the start of EU accession negotiations with North Macedonia and Albania as soon as possible.
