Skopje, 23 October 2023 (MIA) - Parliament Speaker Talat Xhaferi will participate on Monday and Tuesday at the Second Parliamentary Summit of the International Crimea Platform in Prague, the Czech Republic. The delegation also includs MPs Dime Velkovski, Nikola Micevski and Arber Ademi. 

Xhaferi will address the summit and hold bilateral meetings on the sidelines of the summit, the Parliament said in a press release. 

In 2021, the inaugural Summit in Kyiv officially launched the Crimea Platform, while the First Parliamentary Summit of the International Crimean Platform was held on October 24-25, 2022, in Zagreb, Croatia. 

The Parliamentary Dimension aims to raise awareness among world leaders and the general public about the illegitimate Russian occupation of Crimea, its negative impact on the human rights of the local population, on security in the Black Sea region, on global food security, as well as on the rules-based world order.

Participants in the Summit are set to adopt a joint declaration.
