Skopje, 14 February 2024 (MIA) - Parliament Speaker Jovan Mitreski is set to schedule Wednesday the presidential and the parliamentary elections.

As agreed by political parties, the country's seventh presidential election will be held on April 24, 2024, while the eleventh parliamentary elections will be held on May 8, 2024, this time taking place in the regular slot. A possible presidential runoff will coincide with the parliamentary polls.

According to the Electoral Code, once Speaker Mitreski signs the decisions on the announcement of the elections, they will be forwarded to the State Election Commission (SEC) to adopt a timetable for the start of the election activities.
