Speaker Mitreski meets several officials as part of visit to Ukraine

Skopje, 25 February 2024 (MIA) - Parliament Speaker Jovan Mitreski met with several officials during his visit to Ukraine on the occasion of the two-year anniversary of the Russian aggression, the Parliament said in a press release. 

 

In Kiev on Saturday, Mitreski met with Valeriy Zub, Chair of the Parliamentary Group of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation with the Republic of North Macedonia. 

 

Interlocutors expressed satisfaction that in the past years, the cooperation between the Parliament of the Republic of North Macedonia and the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has been greatly improved, reads the press release. Talks focused on possibilities to promote inter-parliamentary cooperation, and especially cooperation between the two parliamentary cooperation groups, which have been active so far with numerous meetings and mutual visits, it adds. 

 

At the special session of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Mitrevski briefly met with the Prime Minister of Belgium, Alexander De Croo.

 

 

While in Ukraine, Mitreski also visited the Kiev Pechersk Lavra and laid flowers at the monument of St. Clement of Ohrid.
