Skopje, 3 July 2024 (MIA) - Parliament Speaker Afrim Gashi met Wednesday with Spanish Ambassador José Luis Lozano García, who welcomed the visit and support that our country receives from Spain on our path to European integration.

"The continuous formation of a Parliamentary Group for Cooperation with the Spanish Parliament contributes to the development of overall relations between both countries," the Parliament said in a press release.

Speaker Gashi expressed his gratitude for the program for training our MPs and staff within the Spanish Parliament, organized every year. Interlocutors agreed that cooperation should expand to include mutual visits between parliamentary delegations, as a way to share Spain's experiences to our MPs, but also at the highest level-between Parliament Speakers.

Ambassador García commended the democratic elections and wished Gashi success in the post.

"He unequivocally expressed his commitment and Spain's support to our country as friends and partners across all segments," the press release reads. ssh/sk/
