Sofia visit sends message of friendship between N. Macedonia and Bulgaria, says Spasovski
Sofia, 1 July 2022 (MIA) - I hope today's visit will be an additional incentive to improve the relations between North Macedonia and Bulgaria and to enhance bilateral cooperation, Interior Minister Oliver Spasovski told reporters in Sofia noting the visit sends a good message of cooperation, friendship and partnership between the two countries.
In Sofia, Minister Spasovski and his Bulgarian counterpart Boiko Rashkov will attend a joint exercise of the special police units of the interior ministries of North Macedonia and Bulgaria.
Today's joint exercise, Spasovski said, is the first one between the two countries, which aims at demonstrating readiness in protecting our peace and stability and the peace and stability in the region and beyond.
According to him, a solid foundation has been laid to establish a joint contact center for the fight against organized crime and corruption and sharing of information.
Ways to enhance cooperation and the opening of the new Berovo-Klepalo border crossing were discussed during the meeting between Spasovski and Rashkov.
The cooperation between the interior ministries is characterized by a serious partnership with a clear response to all security challenges that lie ahead, be it migration, organized crime and terrorism," Spasovski said thanking Minister Rashkov for their bilateral meeting to send a message of partnership and friendship between the two countries and the two nations.
