Skopje University donates over 3 million denars for Kochani fire victims

Skopje, 28 March 2025 (MIA) - Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje, together with all its units, has donated 3,800,000 denars (€62,000) to the Red Cross of the Republic of North Macedonia for the families affected by the March 16 fire in a nightclub in Kochani.
“The fatal incident that claimed numerous lives caused immense pain across the society, which can never fully heal. In these moments of hardship, after many families lost their sons and daughters and after a great number of people are recovering from the grave consequences caused by the blazes, it is of extreme importance to be in solidarity helping them in their recovery,” the Skopje University says.
The Skopje University wish all the injured in the fire in Kochani returned home as soon as possible in stable health condition.
“A tragedy of epic proportions took place and we, an institution dedicated primarily to young people, are voicing hopes that the case will be resolved by competent institutions and that justice will be served, which will, to some extent, alleviate the social grief,” said the Skopje University.
