Skopje to host Ministerial Council meeting on European corridors and transport policies

Skopje, 11 December 2023 (MIA) - A Ministerial Council involving transport ministers from Western Balkan countries, Moldova, Georgia, and Ukraine is scheduled to take place on Tuesday in Skopje.
The event is organized by the Ministry of Transport and Communications in cooperation with the Secretariat of the Transport Community.
The discussion will focus on the progress of countries in implementing infrastructure projects along the main corridors of the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T) as well as progress in aligning transport policies with European Union legislation.
Attendance has been confirmed for a delegation from the European Commission, headed by Magda Kopczynska, Director-General at the Directorate-General for Mobility and Transport (DG MOVE), along with Matej Zakonjšek, Director of the Transport Community.
In addition to Minister of Transport and Communications, Blagoj Bochvarski, the event will also include addresses from transport ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Kosovo, and Moldova, along with representatives from Albania, Serbia, and Georgia. Online participation by the Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine is also planned. Representatives from the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport of Greece are set to attend as well.
As part of the Ministerial Council meeting, Bochvarski will hold bilateral meetings with the ministers from Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro, as well as with representatives from the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport of Greece.
