Skopje Mayor Gjorgjievski presents vision for city's long-term development to French Ambassador Le Rigoleur

Skopje, 9 December 2025 (MIA) - Skopje Mayor Orce Gjorgjievski met Tuesday with French Ambassador Christoph Le Rigoleur, presenting the vision for the city's long-term development, based on sustainable policies, European standards and strengthened international cooperation.
Mayor Gjorgjievski and Ambassador Le Rigoleur focused on further enhancement of bilateral partnership with the twin city of Dijon, as well as new opportunities for joint projects and initiatives in the citizens' interest, the City of Skopje said in a press release.
"I presented the vision for the city's long-term development, based on a clear strategy and sustainable policies. We also discussed the possibilities to enhance cooperation with the twin city of Dijon," said Gjorgjievski.
The Mayor added that Skopje aspires to fully integrate European standards of economic growth, cultural development and green policies, while the French Ambassador expressed France's readiness to share experiences and initiatives that can significantly contribute to the improvement of infrastructure and quality of life in the capital.
"We also highlighted the importance of continued institutional communication and coordination, with the aim of opening new opportunities for partnerships and long-term projects. I am certain this cooperation will contribute to Skopje's permanent development as a contemporary European city that offers innovative solutions and openness," noted Gjorgjievski.
