Skopje, 15 October 2024 (MIA) – Starting Tuesday, the heating season begins for households connected to the central heating system in Skopje, which will last until April 15, 2025, with the possibility of an extension for an additional 15 days depending on outside temperatures.
Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) says that during the heating season, the supplier is obliged to provide heating between 6:00 am and 10:00 pm. However, at the start of the season, if outdoor daytime temperatures are high, the supply of heat will be interrupted, resuming when temperatures drop below 15°C.
ESM announced Monday that, upon the request of the Municipality of Karposh, heating supply for the primary schools in the municipality will start on November 1.
“Consumers and homeowners' associations are urged to quickly address any issues with their internal heating systems and to ensure unhindered access to heating stations, as well as a continuous supply of electricity. This also includes paying electricity bills for the heating stations and maintaining a functional electrical system,” ESM said.
For inquiries, defect reports, or to inform about finished interventions, consumers can contact the Consumer Care Center at 02 3076 200 and 075 400 100.
